If approved for a group overnight stay on the island, there are a variety of OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS Offered by The Ossabaw Island Foundation - A minimum of two night stay is required for all facilities.

CAMPING (30 people maximum, 6 people minimum. (2 night minimum) There are three (3) primitive campsites on Ossabaw Island; South End Beach Camp, Middle Place and Shorter Shelter. South End and Shorter offers a covered pavilion with tables/benches, a fire ring, a pit latrine (outhouse) and ample tent space. Potable water and ice are provided. Ossabaw Island Foundation personnel will check on groups daily and provide on-island logistical support.

COST (not including boat transportation, food or beverage or tours/programs)

1-6 people $240, an additional $20 per person per night for 6-30. Transportation to and from the campsite can be provided for an additional $200 fee.

THE CLUBHOUSE (22 people maximum, 6 people minimum. 2 night minimum) Located on the island’s north end, the Clubhouse is a restored 1880’s prefabricated hunting lodge that offers comfortable dormitory style accommodations for 22 people -

Upstairs Accommodations:

-Sleeps 18 people in 9 bunk bed units, in three (3) bedrooms, (called Buckhead, North End and South End).

-Buckhead bedroom (sleeps 4 in 2 bunk beds) and South End bedroom (sleeps 4 in 2 bunk beds) are adjoining rooms.

-North End bedroom sleeps 10 in 5 bunk beds; includes adjoining half bath.

Upstairs Common Areas (for use by all guests)

- Two full bathrooms.

- Fully equipped kitchen.

Downstairs Accommodations:

-“Sandy’s Room”-- A private bedroom located off of the living room. Sleeps 4 people in 4 twin beds, has an adjoining full bath.

Downstairs Common Areas (for use by all guests).

-Living room and adjacent dining area.

-Fully equipped kitchen and adjoining food preparation/buffet room (can be used as studio/lab space).

-Half bath.

COST (not including boat transportation, food or beverages)

CLUB HOUSE COST (not including boat transportation, food or beverages)

1-6 guests $1210 for two nights and an additional $75 per person per night for a group 7-22. The 3rd night and beyond, $75 per guest, per night for all group sizes.

Teacher Training Group:

1-6 guests $1030 for two nights and an additional $60 per person per night for a group of teachers of 7-22. The 3rd night and beyond, $60 per guest, per night for all group sizes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CLUBHOUSE GUESTS:

There are no stores on Ossabaw. Guests bring all of their food and prepare their own meals. The water on Ossabaw Island is well water. While many visitors appreciate the natural, un-chemically treated water, others prefer to bring their own bottled water.

All groups are required to provide their own toilet paper, paper towels, bio-degradable dish soap and trash bags. All visitors are required to take their trash or recycling off the island when they depart.

Clubhouse Features Include:

-Wraparound porch and rocking chairs.

-Wireless internet access.

-Window unit air conditioners in bedrooms.

-Portable space heaters for winter stays.

- Bath towels (not for beach use).

-Sheets, a light blanket and a pillow for each bed.

-Electricity and hot water.

-Refrigerators (3).

-Electric stove in both kitchens.

-Dishware, glassware, assorted pots and pans and cutlery.

-Commercial grade ice machine.

-Coffee makers in both kitchens.

THE BOARDING HOUSE

Located on the island’s north end, the Boarding House is a restored 1918 Craftsman bungalow that offers comfortable semi- private accommodations for 8 people.

Upstairs Accommodations:

-Sleeps 2 people in twin beds bed includes adjoining full bath.

Downstairs Accommodations:

Three bedrooms with 2 twin beds in each. One bedroom has an adjoining full bath. Downstairs offers one full bathroom.

Downstairs Common Areas (for use by all guests).

-Living room, front porch. A Fully equipped kitchen, half bathroom and an outdoor shower.

1-6 guests $1510 for two nights and an additional $100 per night/per person for a group 7-8. The 3rd night and beyond, $100 per guest, per night for all group sizes.
