The Ossabaw Island Foundation
All visits to Ossabaw Island must be for natural, scientific or cultural education, research or study. Recreational-only visits are prohibited.
Trip Application
Use the forms on this website to submit a trip application form. Applications are reviewed within 48 hours of submission.
Reservations are tentatively set until confirmed by deposit.
Deposits
Once a visit is approved, deposits are due 30 days from the date of the trip approval.
If the application is submitted within three (3) months of the visit date, the deposit must be paid within 48 hours of the visit approval.
Release, Hold Harmless, and Indemnity Agreement
A signed “Release, Hold Harmless, and Indemnity Agreement” is required by the Ossabaw Island Foundation for every group member and for every visit an individual makes to Ossabaw Island. The form is now online and a link will be sent to approved groups ahead of their arrival.
Camping & Day Trip Deposits & Payment
Deposits are applied toward the total trip fee. Balances are due upon arrival at Ossabaw Island.
Day Trip Deposit:
1 – 38 people: Full payment is required within 48 hours of trip approval. $100
Camping Trip Deposit:
Camping $100
Club House and Boarding House Deposits & Payment
Deposits are applied toward the total trip fee. Balances are due upon arrival at Ossabaw Island.
Cub House Deposit:
$250
Boarding House Deposit:
$250
Cancellation Policy
Deposits paid to guarantee a reservation are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Deposits are TRANSFERABLE when:
- Reservations are canceled 30 days or more in advance of reserved arrival or
- if DNR or TOIF cancels or shortens a reservation due to reasons beyond our control. This includes but is not limited to weather or wildfires.
Deposits are NON-TRANSFERABLE when:
- a reservation is canceled 29 days or less in advance of reserved arrival.
