Help us share Ossabaw with others, become a Corporate Partner or a Friend of Ossabaw.
The Ossabaw Island Foundation (TOIF) is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization located in Savannah, Georgia. Funding for the Ossabaw Island Foundation is raised through corporate and private donations, grants, and program fees.
Corporate and individual donations (Friends of Ossabaw) comprise over 1/3 of TOIF’s operating budget. Our partners are essential to the continuing operation of meaningful environmental, historical, and cultural educational programs.
TOIF partners receive our newsletter and are the first to learn about our day trips and other Ossabaw experiences, including the annual Pig Roast & Art Auction held every October, as well as receive discounted day trip fees.
Corporate and individual annual contributions make it possible for TOIF:
- to preserve the island’s historic properties, which include 1840 tabby slave dwellings, the 1880 Club House, 1918 Board House and the outstanding Spanish Colonial house built in 1924 (Torrey West house).
- to share real time scientific data with researchers, students and teachers through our website.
- to assist Independently, and with The Ossabaw Island Education Alliance, outside entities in securing grants for education, research, historic preservation, culture, science and other activities on or related to Ossabaw Island.
- to provide or assist with programming for all visitors to the island.
- to lead efforts to install and maintain 21st century technological infrastructure, including on-island electricity, on-island wireless Internet, and this Ossabaw Island website.
